History repeating itself????

Hello fellow thinkers. I just joined this group and thought I'd start discussing. So I have always been very philosophical in my thought and recently my mentality was shot to you know where. Then I randomly decided to read the book the secret. I know it has a lot of skepticism about it but because I have always had this philosophical approach to things it really helped my re-discover my spark for life. As I read I realized how this was really just reiterating what history and histories great minds already thought. So.......with all that said what are your thoughts on the secret and this new age movement that had been developing over the last 10 or so years?????
