Luke 21:12-19: "By holding fast you will gain your lives." I have spent the day going to the food bank, picking up blankets, and getting ready for tomorrow. I met with an 86 year old minister this morning after Eucharist, and will do outreach before I go to bed. People often tell me I am stubborn, and single minded, and I am, for it has been in "holding fast" to my call in Jesus that I have gained my life. For me ministry is not a "job" but a vocation, my life, and I give my all to it. And this Thanksgiving as I serve a meal, and celebrate the Eucharist I give thanks to God for allowing me this gift and opportunity of serving him. Deo Gratias! Thanks be to God!
