Sneaky Mom's Top Ten Ways To Get Your Bloomers To Eat Veggies

If you haven't heard about it, Jimmy Kimmel asked parents to tell their kids that they ate all their Halloween candy, film their reactions and upload the videos to him. I cringed at the resultant compilation. In my mind, it sadly typifies the shift in our society towards mean-spirited humor or humor at someone else's expense. Some of the kids were downright devastated - sobbing even. Now why would anyone want to do that?...more

Vegetable Medley

This right here is my go-to dinner recipe. There is nothing I love more than a hardy plate of vegetables. Most importantly, you can constant add or remove things to your liking. You can also add quinoa or brown rice or any of your other favorite whole grains to make this large enough for a couple of people to share. Another option would be to serve it over a bed of spinach or kale....more

Sweet Carrot Casserole Cake

My Mother-in-Law loves the Carrot Casserole from Furr’s Cafeteria, especially during the holidays. Looking Back at the Summer Harvest

It's that time of year where I need to say good by to the summer vegetables. The majority of summer plants peaked a while a go but a few are still hanging around. The majority of them are an overgrown mess. I'm going to have to show some tough love and rip them out. This year I had a pretty good haul of vegetables. Of course a few varieties did better than others. Here is a run down of the summer winners and losers Read more at http://notsocrafty.com/...more
