Hot, hot eats

We are experiencing a bit of an unexpected heat wave in my city. Just over two weeks ago, on Mother's Day I went to the opening weekend of the farmer's market and had thought that I probably should have worn a winter coat. Today with the huminidity it is going to feel like 40C (or 104F). It's hot and as we have not moved into our house yet we do not have air conditioning.

Over all I can manage fairly well but the one thing that is hard is eating. When it's that hot I do not want to eat and I certainly do not want to cook.

My favourite thing to do for dinner on days like this is to go to the store and pick up a baguette. I'll grab something from the deli - usually some spicy salami. Cherry tomatoes. Green olives. Maybe some brie or some other kind of soft cheese. I'll lay them all out on a platter and we'll just graze during the evening.

What do you have for dinner on those hot, hot days?
