Hottest Sports Couples: Valentine's Day 2013 Edition

The locker room may not reek of romance but that doesn't stop some of the fittest human specimens in the world from falling in love with each other. In honor of  Valentine’s Day, we're breaking down the hottest couples in sports - those who have enjoyed long-lasting relationships as well as new sweethearts.

Love Match:  Tennis stars Steffi Graf and Andre Agassi are still going strong more than a decade after tying the knot.  The couple first got together after both winning the 1999 French Open and dancing together at the winners' ball.  They now have two children, Jaden and Jaz, who presumably will have an awesome serve and volley game.

One Goal: Two-time Olympic gold medalist soccer player Heather Mitts married former Eagles quarterback A.J. Feeley in 2010 after dating for seven years. It was a dark day for male Mitts fans as the blonde beauty was routinely counted among the sexiest single athletes in the world.

Stroke of Genius:  Danish tennis star Caroline Wozniacki has been  dating Irish golfer Rory McIlroy since meeting 18 months ago at a boxing match in Germany. While they haven’t officially announced their engagement Woz has been seen sporting a very large diamond ring. The hot sports couple, who routinely cheer each other on, must be accruing loads of frequent flier miles.

Perfect Balance: Gymnasts Nadia Comaneci and Bart Conner met in 1976 at gymnastic’s American Cup at Madison Square Garden in New York, where he won the men’s title and she won the women’s. He was 18 at the time and she was  just 14. As the men’s title winner, he was asked to kiss her for the photographers. The couple have been married since 1996.

Havin’ a Ball:  Everyone's favorite soccer star Mia Hamm married former shortstop Nomar Garciaparra  in 2003. The two met five years earlier when Garciaparra, who could have gone to college on a soccer scholarship, lost a charity penalty-kick contest to Hamm at Harvard. The couple have twin girls who keep them doubly busy off the field.

Ice Ice Baby: Kristi Yamaguchi and Bret Hedican have hot love that’s almost always on ice. She’s a former figure skating Olympic gold medalist. He’s a retired hockey player and two-time U.S. Olympian. The couple met at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona and now have two daughters together.

Pitch Perfect: Olympian Jennie Finch, considered softball’s poster princess, married her charming knight, Diamondbacks pitcher Casey Daigle in 2005. Last month the couple announced the birth of daughter Paisley Faye. The couple also has two sons, 6-year-old Ace Shane and 18-month-old Diesel Dean. These ballplayers seem to have a knack for picking cute baby names.

Catch Me If You Can: American runners Kara and Adam Goucher must cover a lot of ground in their workouts.  Kara returned to running shortly after their son was born in 2010 and went on to run the Boston Marathon that year.  The 2012 Summer Olympics saw her finishing 11th in the marathon.

A Day at the Beach: Volleyball superstar Gabrielle Reece met her husband, top surfer Laird Hamilton, while riding monster waves in Hawaii. They married in 1997 and their daughter, Reece, was born in 2003.  Seems kind of unfair that this golden couple is both great-looking and talented.

Bump, Set, Spike: Olympic beachvolleyball player Kerri Walsh is married to fellow pro volleyball player Casey Jennings. Together, they have two sons, Joseph Michael (born 2009) and Sundance Thomas (born 2010). The couple announced on the Today Show that they are expecting their third child, a girl, in April 2013. Walsh was five weeks pregnant during the 2012 London Summer Olympics where she and partner Misty May Treanor won a third consecutive gold medal.  Looks like one kid for each Olympic victory.

Big League: Misty May Treanor is best known as half of winningest beach volleyball duo in history. She married catcher Matt Treanor who most recently played for the Los Angeles Dodgers, becoming engaged after just two months of dating. Upon winning her third Olympic gold medal at the London Games, Misty retired from competition to start a family.

Bling Bling:  Olympic runner Sanya Richards-Ross and New York Giants cornerback Aaron Ross met while students at the University of Texas and were married in 2011. Ross won a second Super Bowl ring last year and Richard-Ross added to her collection of Olympic medals in London last summer.

Record Setters: Olympic power couple Ashton Eaton and Brianne Theisen both competed at the London Games. The college sweethearts are now engaged and both blazing trails as world-class track and field stars.

Got Game:  Candace Parker and Shelden Williams are both professional basketball players. Candace is currently with the Los Angeles Sparks in the WNBA, and Shelden has been playing in the NBA since 2006. They were married in 2008, and Candace gave birth to daughter Lailaa in 2009 who accompanies her overseas to play in the off-season.

Snow Happy: US ski champion Bode Miller and pro volleyball player Morgan Beck fell in love at first sight. The talented twosome met in May of 2012 and married just five months later!

Driven: The newest sports couple is race car driver Danica Patrick and fellow driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr. It's the hottest story in NASCAR and the first time in major American sports that two competitors have had a romantic relationship.

Do you know of any other great sports couples?
