There isn’t enough Bengay in the world to make me try to smash concrete bricks with my hands, or to get me to read a Twilight book, but I’ll all about breaking some ice when necessary. And since BlogHer 2010 is just seven weeks away, it’s probably a good time to ask yourself…do you have your exit buddy? Do you have one, friendly and familiar face that you will be able to find in the crowd?
It helps, I swear it does.
So, you are cordially invited to join me at Morton’s the Steakhouse in downtown Houston on July 24th, grab a drink, and get familiar with the community of bloggers right here in Houston before we all head off to New York in August for Blogher '10.
Well, before you do. I don’t actually get to attend the conference this year, which is all the more reason I hope you can come. You’re welcome to bring a spouse, a friend, a groupie or your grandma.

My name is Mr Lady, which isn’t really my name at all but even my husband calls me that now, so I’m sticking with it. I’ve been blogging for 5 1/2 years, I tweet as @mrlady, I've attended two BlogHer conferences, and if I could tell you any one thing about BlogHer that you’ve probably heard but I know for a fact to be a big big fake fake lie, it’s that no, you are not ‘not cool enough’ to attend BlogHer.
See? And they asked me to speak. TWICE. You're totally way cooler than I am. So just go and have fun already.
*SO not an improvement. That first movie** was a classic, and got absolutely no respect.
