How to be a Fat Bitch ECourse #3
By KymBozarth on February 18, 2013
A fat bitch is confident, out-spoken and proud of who she is. The word bitch has been used by feminists as a way to reclaim an insult used to demean our cause.
Challenge yourself to wear something that you might have felt weary about in the past. Break up your routine with something different and you might open yourself up to some radical new styles! Blog it, Instagram it, Tweet it (#fatbitchecourse, #nearsightedowl)
This weeks assignment is focused on fashion. Yes, I wear Plus Size clothing. For a long time I could not find clothing that fit me properly. I shopped at the wrong stores and wore the wrong styles. And if I did have something that fit properly I wore it to death!
I would hate my body and I wore black all the time. I wore black thinking it how slimming it was on my figure not because I actually liked it or looked good in it.
I liked to shop, but also loathed shopping for certain clothing items. Usually pants. I have big hips and thighs. So pants fit my oddly. I'm also short. So pants were always LONG and tight in the ASS and HUGE in the WAIST. I could never find jeans that fit right! I still have a hard time finding them and if I do they are a FORTUNE!
Now when I shop, I love to browse the thrift racks. Plus size are a little harder to find so it is a bit like a treasure hunt, but it can be quite rewarding when you find something awesome!
I am looking forward to finding out where other fat bloggers shop either online or in stores, I could use a little help in that area, I still am not much of a shopper for myself (even at my age!) so I'm hoping some getting some help from you younger gals.
Do you have some fatshion tips to share? Please do!
I am over 40. So I have gotten to a point where I am not always sure how to dress anymore? Does that makes sense? There are so many dos and don'ts for women over 40. Here were a few DOS I came across:
1. DO WEAR SLIMMER BOTTOMS AND/OR HEELS.
2. DO WEAR WHITE ON YOUR TRIMMEST AREAS.
3. DO WEAR LOOSE LAYERS IF YOU ARE TALL AND PLUS SIZE.
4. DO SHOW A LITTLE LEG.
5. DO GIVE YOUR LAYERS STRUCTURE.
I am not sure how I feel about these. Do you?
I look forward to reading other posts on this subject. Fashion and I have a love/hate relationship.
