How To Get Him To Propose
By theheartbandits on November 13, 2012
As a Proposal Planner at The Heart Bandits, I get a lot of emails from women wanting to know how they can get their men to propose. I understand exactly how they feel. It wasn't that long ago that I too was wondering when Marvin would ever propose to me. Unless you want to propose to your boyfriend, it is kind of a lousy feeling knowing that you have to sit and wait for your man to take the lead and pop the question. But we are women, and ALL women have some tricks up their sleeves to get what they want. Here are 5 ways you can get your boyfriend to propose:
In general, I wouldn't advise dropping hints to men since they don't always get them. The reason I am recommending it here is because men hate rejection. If they aren't 100% sure that you will say yes when they propose, they will not do it. So drop hints like pointing out engagement rings you would like if he ever proposed or talking about how you would like your wedding if you guys got married. Please use your judgment about when to start dropping these hints. If you have only been together a short time, this will scare him to death. Use caution!
Be Great In Bed
Marriage really scares some men for a variety of reasons. The thought of having boring and infrequent sex for the rest of their life does not make them want to run to the alter. Reassure them now that if they settle down with you, they won't be sorry.
Be A Good Girlfriend
One of the best ways to get a guy to propose to you is to be the best girlfriend he has ever had. Surprise him with tickets to his favorite sporting event, give him a shoulder massage while he is watching tv, and always keep his beer mug flowing. He will love you for that.
Pay Attention To Who He Is
I totally do not care who recently got traded to the Lakers, but I know Marvin thinks it’s hot if I know the player’s names or use words like "Western Conference". Pay attention to things your man likes and then let him know that you know it!
Show Your Domestic Side
I am not suggesting you go back in time and wait on your man hand and foot. I mean, if you are into that then go for it. Regardless, every now and then show your domesticated side and cook your boyfriend an amazing meal. Give him a preview of what it would be like to be your husband.
