Howdy from Kentucky

I've been on the internet for a while, but am relatively new to the blogosphere. Earlier this year, I found a site called Maya's Mom and have been quite active there. Turns out more than a few of them are active blogher bloggers.

Actually, I was reading Little Elephants and saw an ad for the Coffee/Juan Valdez contest, clicked to enter and the next thing I know, VOILA! Here I am!

I blog fairly regularly on two blogs:
Back Porchervations
Family Home Worship

My family and I hare happily snuggled away in small town Kentucky. We homeschool our 3 children (two boys, ages 10 and 9) and one girl (age 4).

Outside of blogging, I work full-time outside the home at a residential/teaching facility for adults with MR/DD (mental retardation, developmental disabilities). It is at once the most rewarding job I've ever had, and makes me want to snatch my own self bald-headed ... but I'm settling for cutting my waist-length hair to chin-length next week after my birthday. :p

Homeschoolers rock!

I'm so glad Juan Valdez lured you in. I hope you'll wander around and leave some comments on blogs, write a blog post (or two) of your own and just generally enjoy your visits here.

Back Porchervations is a great blog title. Really excellent. Wish I'd thought of it. Hmmm I could be Front Porchervations... hmmm
