I am a foodie! I have always loved to read cookbooks and magazines, dream up new recipes, talk to other people about all-things-food, entertain with food, write about food. But then, wham! In November 2005, I was diagnosed with Celiac Disease. What does this mean? I can't eat anything that contains wheat, rye, barley, and oats AND I have to be particularly careful about cross-contamination. It has been one of the most significant changes I have ever had to make. I've had to learn an entirely different way of cooking and eating out at restaurants. It is challenging, but I am determined to make it work. I hope to connect with others and perhaps be an inspiration to them.
