I blog because ...

photo by Ooh You Tasty Little Things"A" from the Seattle-area food blog Ooh, You Tasty Little Thing just celebrated her one-year blog-iversary and has been thinking about why she blogs. She writes: "Its funny, because I started food blogging so I wouldn't eat food from a box or stuff that I could just slap together, but I found inspiration in a little carrot cut into a heart shape. It was like it was meant to be."

To celebrate, she's been baking too! So for the rest of the story about 'hearts' and blogging, plus her recipe for carrot juice and clementine cake, visit A Whole Year of Blogging and All I Got Was This Lousy T-Shirt. Leave your congratulations and be sure to mention you're visiting from Blogher.

Why do we blog? Food bloggers are dipping spoons into that communal pot at the Food Blog S'cool.

And you, why do you blog? Leave a comment, or a link to a post that answers the question.

BlogHer food editor Alanna Kellogg blog will soon enter Year 4 of new vegetable recipes. Next year, the food column her mother started will mark its 50th year.
