I Care About Your Facebook Status Update

BlogHer Original Post

Lots of people dislike Facebook, or complain about the way people misuse the site. But Come What May and Love It has a lovely post about why she cares about the things you post in your status update bar, and most of it comes down to empathy.  She laughs with you (and sometimes at you) and she cries with you, but mostly, if you're her friend on Facebook, she cares about you.

They scratch their beards and say things like “who cares what someone you haven’t spoken to in years had for breakfast?”

I guess the answer is I do. I care.

I care what you had for breakfast and how many times you had to take your dog out yesterday. I care about your kid’s grades and pictures of their little league games. I care about the crazy dream you had last night or how your children are currently swinging from the chandelier.

I care.

Go over and read Come What May and Love It's full post and then tell us about one Facebook status update you cared deeply about today.
