Sparkle (0)
I am naming names:
"Improves Shine up to 35% (Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Wild Ginger)," or "Now Younger Looking Eyes in 3 Days (Roc Brilliance)," or "45% more even skin tone (L'Oreal Visible Lift Serum Absolute).
I am disturbed by the underlying messages and arbitray percentages many cosmetic companies use to entice us to buy their products. By the implied, erroneous "you need to be fixed " ideas they perpetuate. We don't need to fixed. Our value is not our appearance.
The bottom line is we do not need that pricey shampoo, eye cream or foundation for survival. Nudging us toward it through manipulative advertising (assuming we have low self esteem) for monetary gain is explotative.
Save your dollars beautiful sisters to spend on what matters, like oh say, reaching for our potential.
