I Know These Are the Qualities You’d Like in a Dog, but You SCREAM a Bad Match

I’ve been on a mission to adopt a Boxer puppy and I’ve been doing research on the breed and searching for puppies every day. I’ve been contacting breeders and asking questions. I asked one particular breeder if she could direct me to a breeder whose dogs are on the smaller side, don’t drool, and have a more mellow personality (boxers are high energy dogs, but some have more energy than others.)

The first line in her response was, “What makes you even think a boxer would be a good fit for you to have in your family?” She continued to tell me that respectable breeders try not to sell puppies to families that “scream” a bad fit (meaning me.)

(You can read the rest of this nonsense here.)
