Now that I've given you the full disclosure on my holiday weight gain (see confession # 270,103), I guess you wouldn't be surprised that I'm on the mad hunt for plus size workout clothes!
While I actually don't belong to a gym...let me stop! I do belong to Equinox, but I just find it really hard to make my way there. HOWEVER, I do use my Wii Sports Resort and workout tapes like Taebo, Jane Fonda's Step Aerobic and Abdominal Workout and Cindy Crawford - The Next Challenge Workout. And I die (not the Rachel Zoe meaning, but the literal meaning) everytime I do these tapes! LOL! Anywho, even though I workout at home, I still like to look stylish while doing so.
My favorite plus size workout outfit is above and is from Adidas.com, which has the best selection of plus size workout clothes. It definitely was a challenge to find plus size workout clothes that are stylish and made from the proper breathable materials so that you don't get too funky during your workout. The Adidas Pristine Plus Size Tee is just plain cute (and it matches my MBT pink and grey sneakers)! The entire Adidas Plus Size Training collection comes in sizes 1X - 3X. What I love about the Adidas Studio Sport Plus Size Jacket is its slimming, waist-defining seaming detail on the front and back. I also like the smooth flat front of the Adidas Studio Sport Plus Size Pants.
Since we're on the topic of sneakers, for all my plus size stylistas that would prefer to walk as your fitness routine, I swear by my MBT sneakers! With the stylish plus size workout clothes from Adidas, you can workout while you shop by walking around in MBT sneakers at your favorite mall (mine is Garden State Plaza in NJ, what's yours?). I looooove the Adidas by Stella McCartney Florifer Shell Bag at NET-A-PORTER.com. It can be worn as a shoulder-strap bag or as a hand-bag.
Last but not least, a necessity for any plus size workout wardrobe is the workout bra! I agree with Oprah, the best one is the Enell Sports Bra 100 at HerRoom.com in sizes 32C-52DD.
