I want to be a Raven

“Ready for what.”
“Ready to fly my friend.”
“Ok, on the count of 3 we are both going to jump and then just start flapping your wings. READY, 1, 2 and 3.” Gail gave Willow a huge push and off she flew. Well, actually off she fell. Willow started screaming her beak off as she was tumbling down, upside down and round and round. “HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP.”
“Flap your wings woman, flap your wings!” Gail was flying around Willow “Like this.” Willow finally started flapping like a wild bird. Flap Flap Flap and finally she started FLYING.. up high and then low and my LORD it was wonderful. She was free. Finally free of everything. Free of worries, free of all her thoughts, she was just flying in the crisp blue sky with the wind beneath her wings. It was awesome. Gail came up beside her, “So, what do you think.”
“I LOVE BEING A RAVEN!”
Gail and Willow flew all over the lake; they flew down to the cabin and had a sip of wine. They just kept flying and flying. Willow hadn’t felt this alive for a long time. She was finally free from the stress of her marriage and all the troubles that came with it. Finally unrestricted; and she loved it. She soared as high as she could go and she could still hear Gail cheering her on. “YOU GO GIRL…” Willow and Gail flew all over the lake area. Then Gail told Willow it was time to go fly somewhere else and have a look at something. So, Willow followed Gail and they flew and flew until they arrived at Willow’s house. “What are we doing here?”
“Well, you needed an answer to what you were going to do with your life and now you can see for yourself. You have been blind long enough.” Willow didn’t understand what she was talking about until they landed in the big Maple tree in the backyard of Willow’s house. Out on the back deck were her husband and the other woman, Vegas. Enjoying Vodka and Tonic’s with fresh squeezed limes and laughing like they were newlyweds.
“ERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRrrr…” Willow screech so loud that her husband and Vegas looked up into the tree right at her and Gail, and then they started laughing.
“What a strange bird that is.” Well, that made Willow really mad and she said to Gail. “I will show them strange.” Willow flew overhead and dropped the mother load right on top of their heads. And, it was a great shot. As she flew off laughing all she heard in the background was them screaming. And, then Gail dove in and blasted them again. It was the best day of Willow’s life. She was finally happy and she knew what she needed to do. Gail and Willow spent the rest of the day sightseeing and just enjoying each other’s company. They finally arrived back at the cabin and enjoyed the rest of the wine.
“Well, this is it Willow. It’s time for you to go back to who you really are.”
Willow looked at Gail with sad eyes, “Do I have to go back to being a human? Why can’t I stay like this forever?”
Gail took a sip of her wine. “Nope, your journey now is that of a human and you must finish it until your time is over on this Earth. Then who knows, maybe your next journey on the earth will be that of a Raven.”
Willow smiled, sipped her wine and when she opened her eyes Gail was gone and she was back to human. But, she was her New Self. A much stronger self who knew what she wanted for the rest of her life on the earth; and it sure wasn’t her 2 timing husband!
