We are at the point in our wedding planning where stress is trying to make an appearance. Time is running out, money is running out, and it's tempting to get overwhelmed by it all. Well, I said it when we first got engaged, and I mean it now. I will not lose my mind planning this wedding. I have been through a lot in my life. There was even a time when I had stopped believing in love. I thought I couldn't love. I thought I couldn't be loved. And then I met Terrence and discovered that God had a plan for me all along.

I will not stress out over this wedding.

Sure, we could have eloped, ditched the whole elaborate wedding altogether. We get it. The marriage isn't really about the whole white dress and flowers, anyway. The thing is, we want to share our union with our family and friends. We want to have a great dinner and smile and dance and spend our first moments as Mr. and Mrs. in the presence of the folks who supported us through our ups and downs as we journeyed to find each other. We want to treat them to a nice dinner. We want to toast champagne with them. We want to eat cake and celebrate the joining together of the most important people in our lives.

So, I will not stress out over this wedding.

We're going to take a look at where we can cut a few costs, and snip snip snip! We're going to continue to be realistic about what we can afford, and be okay with not having the things we can't afford. We're going to accept the help of friends who offer their services without feeling awkward or needy, and we're going to remember to count our blessings that we have such amazing friends. We're going to focus on spending time together, continuing to get to know each other better, and enjoying each other's company.

But, I will not stress out over this wedding.
