[Editor's Note: I could have written this post by Jamie at Dreaming Big Dreams. In fact, I tweeted the other day how I'm so tired of repeating myself day in and day out. So if you're having a difficult day and it feels like your kids aren't listening and your head might explode and OMG! Well, give this post a read and know that you're not alone! At least we can listen to ourselves, right? -Jenna]
If I Tell You That Again...:
Here were my most common phrases tonight:
- “If you do that again you’re going to sit in time out.”
- “Didn’t you hear me say if you do that again you would sit in time out?”
- “Do you want to sit in time out?”
- “This is the last time I’m going to say this.”
- “Last time.”
- “Okay you’re going to time out. … okay one more chance. BUT that’s it.”
- “If I say this a fourth time you are going to time out.”
- “Don’t make me say that again.”
- “I’m serious.”
Do you see a theme here?
I’m weak.
They don’t listen.
I sucked at parenting today.
Read on for a mom proclamation that tomorrow IS a new day!
