With the holidays quickly approaching it is time to kick your handmade into high gear. Here are a few fun projects that involve sewing without making a stitch. Need a new sewing table or the perfect gift to make and give to the sewing fanatic in your life? Read on.
The right sewing table is a crucial. It can’t be too high or too low, it needs to be just right. What to do when you can’t find that perfect table or the perfect table is too expensive? Hack Ikea of course. Palak from Make It Handmade convinced her husband to take a journey into woodworking with her and a new sewing table with a recessed spot for her machine was born.
If your a blogger and our going to make a craft, your going to write about it. As I always say: if it didn’t get posted in Instagram it didn’t really happen. Nothing compliments your helpful how-to or amazing finished project like gorgeous well lit photos. Bronwyn Hayes from the Red Brolly has written an amazing tutorial that rings true for crafters of all types. Her post focuses on photographing a sewing project, but any type of crafter could walk away with good information.
What do you give the seamstress or seamster in your life this holiday season? How about a mason jar pin cushion filled with sewing supplies. Sew cute and sew easy. Not to mention there is a free printable involved. Melissa Mortenson from The Polka Dot Chair came up with this adorably clever project that would be a great gift no matter what the recipents sewing skill level. I'm thinking about making an embroidery version.
