Here it is January 4, 2009 and I’m still whirling from 08
wondering how I’ll ever make it through this year as most of us realize all the
security we thought we had regarding our savings and investments have tanked. I ask myself what’s my plan to survive what’s
coming as they predict we haven’t seen the worst yet. At a dinner party last night the whole
conversation seemed to center on whether or not we’ll survive the expected
increase in gas cost or will there be a real tax cut for the middle class (do we really
exist) and I find myself wondering where I’ve gone besides into deep depression
just listening to the daily news. We
live in a country that boosts the middle class and a free nation of the people
for the people which I always believed existed until now although with more taxes
and added fees it’s too much even for the rich suggesting it’s more then we can
tolerate as a nation. (The account of
the Boston Tea Party is looking better explanation from Wikipedia).

This article is about a 1773 American protest. For other
uses, see Boston Tea Party (disambiguation).

This 1846 lithograph has become a classic image of the
Boston Tea Party.

The Boston Tea Party was an act of direct
action
protest by the American colonists against the British Government in which they destroyed
many crates of tea belonging to the British East India Company and dumped it
in Boston
Harbor
. The incident, which took place on December 16, 1773, was a key
event in the growth of the American Revolution and remains an iconic event
of American history.

Can you see where I’m heading here is there a Tea
Party in the bloggers future should we plan a shut down or throw down something
to stop the spending and provide for us the tax payers and voters; can Obama
help us or will history repeat itself as it often does?

Most friends and family at convinced we’ll be working until
we’re 80 or older not because we want too because we have too. After all how else can we expect to continue
to give other people funds from our social security and health care if we stop
working and don’t pay taxes? I’m willing
to provide my fair share however I’m appalled at the continuation of my
social security going to anyone other then those who have paid into the
system. I’m concerned and so was
everyone at dinner that the list of needy souls will grow and those
contributing will diminish as we get old and die. Thus this post who will help me if my cancer
returns and I can’t work for almost another year pay my bills keep my health
insurance and remember keep paying taxes for those who don’t won’t or whatever
the fear continues to haunt me.

All I ever dreamed
about was working hard paying my fair share and slowing down when I entered my
sixties. I don’t know about you although
most of my friends are watching their money go faster and for less and we
aren’t sure what the future brings we just know our lives are different then we
could ever have predicted. Accordingly
what are your thoughts and how will you deal with what’s coming to the average
senior citizen? Do you think there will
be some kinds of revolt from us or will we take it
