Hi everyone,
On Tuesday, November 4th, our country will come together and decide who will be our next "Commander in Chief." I believe this is one of the most important decisions we can make. I have been involved with politics for the past eight years. Even though I am registered as a Republican, I now consider myself an Independant. I don't vote party. I vote for who I believe will do the best job. You will not believe how much criticism I take for this, but I stand by it. I have worked for candidates on both sides of the political realm and I have never regretted it for one moment. I take my time, and learn about each of the candidates before I make an endorsment, and I would like to encourage others to do the same. It is so important for people to really dive into these candidates' backgrounds and make our own decisions about who we can support. Now, I completely understand how hard it is to do so when there are so many one sided media venues. Now days, there are so many news channels that spin the words and actions of these candidates to make their point of view come out on top, but I would like to encourage everyone to look past those. I will admit, I am a late night news "junkie." I do watch, Fox News, CNN and MSNBC, but then I do web searches and read magazine and newspaper articles to try to sift through all of the news media's "babblings."
I am also baffled at the number of women I know who either have never voted before or who ask their husbands who to vote for. I am here to encourage all women to excercise their right and privilege to vote on November 4th, and to find information out for themselves. There is so much information available to us that we are able to find stuff out for ourselves. Please don't rely on someone else's opinions. I think we are all entitled to have our own opinions and beliefs, I'm just asking to please let those be known on November 4th. If you're not registered to vote, please call your local registrar and find out when your deadline is. I would also love to hear feedback from you. I believe in the ability to agree to disagree. I would love to know who you're pulling for and why. I would love to have sensible discussions with anyone, and as time goes on, I'll let you know who I'm pulling for. Again, thanks for reading and until next time, Happy Voting!!
