If you are a fan of the lovely blog  Design*Sponge by Brooklyn-based writer Grace Bonney, then you'll adore her decor book Design*Sponge at Home. My favorite things about this book: decor ideas fit for a "real" home, dozens of home tours give a glimpse inside the cozy chic homes of celebs and designers, plus step-by-step instructions for decor projects I have to try. Here are a few pages to inspire you.

Design*Sponge

One of the many home tours in the book, this one features Dave Alhadeff.

Lynda Gardener's home.

Kate Bolick's home.

Love this DIY project: the chair bench. Other projects I want to try are her flower arrangements that even I could do!

My dream is to own an old Victorian home with a beautiful claw foot tub. Thank you for the inspiration :)

victorias_view Wonderful idea. I'll have to visit some day! I think coordinating the tub with the house style is key:) Check out Bonney's book.--loaded with fun and realistic ideas for decorating. The fab DIY section alone is a reason to buy the book. Her clever "book trailer" video is so sweet--created by the guy who writes the blog The Panic Room. A cool guy. I met him at BlogHer '10.

Chris--MomathonBlog.com I also think it's key! i think it would be odd to walk into a modern home and have Victorian furnishings. But maybe I need to expand my knowledge of interior design ;) I might just have to check out this book!
