Interior Design: Year of the Horse

Equine inspired furniture and accessories have been popular in the interior design world for a couple of years, and it's popularity is still high.  Chinese New Year was on Friday, and it is the year of the horse.  With it being the year of the horse, I don't think equine popularity is going anywhere, anytime soon.

Horses and their equestrian counterparts evoke a sense of classicism and elegance--a traditional sport and past time that transcends generations and centuries.  Horses are strong, graceful and magnanimous creatures, and when used in the home, they provide a touch of traditional elegance in the space.  Equine designs work for all styles, from contemporary to modern.  What do you think?  Would you add a touch of equine in your home?

While I was in High Point, in several showrooms, equine inspired pieces or accessories were used.  See some of the equine inspired pieces I saw at High Point.
