It Takes a Village

My daughter has Reactive Attachment Disorder (RAD).  She has it because she spent the first nine months of her life in a Russian orphanage.  It wasn’t caused by anything she did, she just didn’t get the love, attachment and bonding that she needed as an infant.  And then I adopted her.  Unfortunately, as a grieving widow, I really didn’t have the emotional surplus to give to her, to help her bond and rebuild her broken brain.
