It's a dress, no it's a skirt!

Rachel Roy Dress

As a newlywed on a new budget (darn husbands), I've found myself seeking ways to rework unique pieces in my closet to make them work for multiple occassions. The sexy open back on this gorgeous Rachel Roy dress (yes, it's a dress!) makes it a little less versatile than I would like, so I searched my closet for a piece that would dress it down a bit. Enter: the shell. The beautiful embroidery on this top adds a soft touch and, though it pains me to do so, covers up the not-so-safe-for-work back. I added black booties and my favorite leather jacket for a bit of edge and voila! An afternoon-friendly outfit in colors that transition seamlessly from season-to-season. Bonus: I get to give this fave of mine a little more love. Everybody wins.
