It's Friday - Whatever That Means (From The Perspective Of Dublin, My Cat)

I just jumped off the 'puter to let Mom type this for me in peace. My paws always get in the way, but she knows what I want her to say.

From what I've seen, a lot of people make a huge big deal out of certain days in the week. Like today - it's Friday. Big woop! So what if it's the weekend! What does that really mean? One day is the same to me as any other. I sleep, I eat, I look out the window, Mom & I play, Mom pets me, Mom cleans my litter box, I use it, she scoops out the fresh stuff, Mom makes sure I have plenty of good, clean water & food, Mom showers me with praise & admiration, I groom myself, I sleep, I play, I sleep, I eat, I sleep....well, I think you get the idea. One day is the same as any other.

So why do people make such a big deal out of it? I think it has to do with something called work, whatever that is. Mama says she has to go out to earn money so that I can be fed. Well, don't worry about me - I'll be fine on my own if you can't fee me - although I love being pampered & having you do things for me. Still, Mama says that without money, she can't keep my litter box as nice as it could be. Is the stuff in there called money? I thought it was litter.

I've seen her counting some paper & little metal discs & talking about how that was money. That's not what's in my litter box. I'm confused! Somehow that paper & metal turns into litter. *Shaking head in confusion. Have to sort out my brain!*

Anyway, all I know is that Mama does a great job of making sure I'm well looked after & fed & that I have cozy places to sleep. She's the best Mama! She even lets me go outside sometimes. I have to wear a harness, but she says it's for my own good. I'll take her word for it.

Anyway, I still don't get what the big deal is about one day over another. Maybe I'll figure it out during one of my many quiet thinking periods. If I do, I'll let y'all know.

Have a good weekend, all, whatever that means to ya! >^..^<
