It's tough out there but YOU are tougher!

If you are anything like me, then you have been through hell and back in the last 3 years!

I went through a divorce, my dog of 16 years died and I found myself needing to rent a place.  I had not rented anything in YEARS, decades to be frank. I was alone and shell shocked and thought, this is what the second half of my life is going to be all about???

After my adult daughters gave me a swift verbal kick, I pulled myself up and literally forced myself to join an online dating site.  Now that was an experience in and of itself!  Be careful ladies!

I chatted back and forth with numerous men, some were real wacko's, others were 'players', and then someone contacted me and changed everything.

This was a man who had also gone through a divorce at roughly the same time period as me. He too had suffered loss on many levels, including the loss of a son.  He too had now found himself renting after not needing to do so for decades.  All in the course of the same 3 year time period as me.  Coincidence?  Nah, I don't believe in coincidence.

So we agreed to meet in person at a local Coffee House.  4 weeks later he moved into the condo I was renting. That was 3 months ago.  We are wise enough to have learned from failed lessons, determined enough not to repeat them, and committed to living our lives together in love.  Even when times are hard.  And times ARE hard! However they are slowly getting better and better.

We are now in the process of moving into a house we are purchasing, and that is a miracle!

So....If you are out there, sitting and feeling alone, without hope?  Take this as YOUR verbal kick!  Get yourself up out of bed, off the couch, chair or whatever.  Take a shower, put some makeup on, find anything that fits and get going!

The Universe truly IS wonderful, when you open up to it!

PS:  If you'd like to find out how two 'financially challenged' (otherwise referred to as 'broke') folks over the age of 50, with credit scores that real estate lenders fall down laughing at, are purchasing a home.  I'm blogging about it here:

It's not a site that I'm selling anything on.  It's just our story, the good, the bad and?  Yep the Ugly.  Really ugly home, needing a ton of work.  But it's OURS!!!

We hope you find inspiration in our journey!
