I follow over 200 blogs in my feed reader.
I know. I know.
What's even more shocking? Over 50% of them are penned by artists or designers. I really believed that I'd cornered the market on artists who blogged. Surely there couldn't be any other artists out their who blogged.
You know where I'm going with this, right?
To test my theory, I decided to tweet it out.
As you might expect, many people responded, most of them with artists I'd never heard of. It was really embarrassing, particularly since they are all beyond talented. These are people who are being instantly added to my feed reader, for example:
I cannot believe that I haven't been following [i]LoveLife, because this woman is a seriously talented painter. She also sells some originals, and I hate that I missed her recent online garage sale of originals that she was looking to get rid of. Next time, Kal. Next time.
The blog Hashai isn't updated all that often; however, my goodness, when it is, it's a pleasure, isn't it? This woman has a serious decorating eye, so if home decor is what you love, go for that; in addition, her interior shots are beautiful, so if you're into interior photography, visit her site for that. Really good.
Why have I not been following Loobylu? I used to follow Loobylu. I did. But somehow, among several home moves, and several computer upgrades, for some reason, I lost Loobylu. I'm thrilled to be following this talented illustrator again.
Ah, Wee Wonderfuls. What this woman does with fabric is amazing. I'm so not crafty in this way, but her work is seriously inspiring.
What about you -- any favourite artists bloggers I should know about? Please leave the links to their sites below -- after all, talent like this should be shared.
