Zeng Jinyan

A Fujian Hakka who was born in 1983. A graduate in Economics at the Renmin University of China, she is currently an M. Phil candidate in the field of gender and sexuality at the University of Hong Kong. Zeng Jinyan is a human rights activist who co-founded an AIDS care and support organization in 2004. She was selected as “The Time 100 Pioneers & Heroes” in 2007. Her blog also won the Best of the Blogs Award in 2008. Zeng Jinyan produced a documentary “Prisoners in Freedom City” in 2007, and published a book “Freedom• Jail• Life” in December, 2011.
