Tonight at 9pm Eastern, 6pm Pacific, President Barack Obama will delivered the State of the Union address to the nation. BlogHer's Jill Miller Zimon, American Princess EM Zanotti, and I are live chattering and tweeting our observations, information, and some quips.

Major news networks will be broadcasting the Republican rebuttal by Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell immediately following the President's address.

President Obama's speach tonight was excellent, especially the latter portion when he looked directly into the camera addressing the American citizens. He's the first president to go toe to toe with the lobbyists and other Washington dirty dealings. Love it, he pulled no punches-- rightfully so. The more I hear him speak, the more impressed I become.

Side note: Mrs. Obama's efforts to address childhood obesity is a wonderful idea...and the new do with the side swept bangs looks elegant! : )
