T-Mobile Is Looking Forward To BlogHer ’10!

T-Mobile is excited about being part of the wonderful BlogHer ’10 Conference – our third year in a row sponsoring!  We can’t wait to see some of our friends, including Leticia Barr with Tech Savvy Mama, Kristin Ruiz with Our Ordinary Life and Jennifer Leet with The Dirty tShirt blog.  Here is a little bit more about Leticia, Kristin and Jennifer.  Oh, and follow us at @TMobile_USA as we gear up for BlogHer ‘10!  For more information on T-Mobile’s BlogHer ’10 sponsorship, please visit http://press.t-mobile.com/articles/t-mobile-blogher-third-year.

I am the founder of Tech Savvy Mama, a site that assists parents in finding the best technology products, websites and resources for children of all ages.  Tech Savvy Mama started because of my personal experience of bringing a computer into my home for my now 6-year-old daughter.  With a background in teaching and a career as a technology specialist (I spent years selecting software and online resources for one of the top 15 largest school systems in the country), I figured that if I had concerns about issues like computers vs. free play, finding the best educational sites and software, and internet safety for children, that other parents did too.

I use my knowledge to evaluate the many different kinds of technology that come through my door and love sharing honest feedback to make recommendations to my readers.   As a busy mom who works as a social media consultant, family internet safety and security expert for BitMoms.com, and a professional blogger who reviews many cell phones, I’m always on the lookout for devices that enhance productivity and are easy to use like the T-Mobile myTouch 3G.

I love how easy it is for me to stay productive while on-the-go thanks to my merlot multi-screen myTouch 3G.  As a very organized Type-A, I use the different screens to organize the many apps I have found in the Android Marketplace.  Most frequently used applications live on my home screen, applications to entertain my 4 and 6 year olds live on the left screen, while the right side is filled with the numerous social media apps that allow me to maintain contact with my networks wherever I may be.  I love how quickly T-Mobile’s 3G wireless network works to pull up Android navigation features that allow me to locate new places for my family to explore that I hope we’ll be rewarded for visiting upon a FourSquare check in.

When I’m not obsessing over FourSquare points, I can also be found serving as Chief BitMom of internet safety and security on BitMoms, writing for The LeapFrog Community, and editing the new MyBlogalicious site.

To all of you reading this post, below is a proposed question which I’d love for each of you to answer in the discussion tab of T-Mobile’s Facebook page for a chance to win a Garminfone!  Be open and honest in your answers because that is how I’m judging the responses to find a winner. J

Hope to see many of you in NYC for BlogHer ’10! - Leticia

QUESTION: What is a mobile application that you can’t live without?

Our Ordinary Life

I started my first blog four years ago as a means to write about my daughter.  I also wanted a place to share the experiences that I’ve been through, like being a foster child in the system as a kid. I wanted a place that my children can visit 50 years from now and know exactly how I felt about them all of their life. I’ve always had a knack for writing, so it became more than just a hobby.  My blog has always been my life cast and I still blog by the same principles I started with, except now it’s really grown with me. I’ve been able to share my experiences as a mother, as well as document my children’s childhoods.

After I received a Mobile Makeover from T-Mobile at BlogHer ’09 in Chicago, I became a T-Mobile customer and have since had the opportunity to test out a variety of phones.  My favorite T-Mobile product has been my HTC HD2. Although I’ve owned both a BlackBerry Curve 8900 and a T-Mobile myTouch 3G, this is by far T-Mobile’s best phone.  In many ways my HD2 helps me stay connected to my family - there are times when my husband and I use the phone and even I am shocked by its capabilities.

On more than one occasion, my husband has easily snapped a picture from somewhere, anywhere, and sent it to me within seconds.  I’m also able to let him know what we’re up to day-in and day-out via cell phone.  Both ways, being able to share the small moments while the other is away is a unique thing, and it definitely brightens the day. With my HTC HD2 I can share pictures and stories as they happen, in real-time, with family and friends who live far away.  I can also connect with Twitter, which by far has made me the social media junkie I am today.

The thing is, my blog has grown with me. It’s such a huge part of my life and I won’t ever be the same because of it. What I am looking forward to most at BlogHer ’10 is actually being able to connect with the women I’ve grown so much with.  Some of these women I’ve shared my deepest, most personal thoughts with.  They were there for my life’s biggest moments and it’s the one time throughout the year that we can actually be together.  The BlogHer Conference really is a unique experience and you get to be a part of it with your closest girlfriends.

Below is a question that I’d like for you all to respond to in the discussion tab of T-Mobile’s Facebook page for a chance to win a Garminfone!  I will read each response and choose a winner based on how authentic the answer is.

Can’t wait for BlogHer ’10! - Kristin

QUESTION: How will you use your cell phone to stay connected while at BlogHer ’10 and how do you think technology will play a part in this year’s conference? If you aren't attending BlogHer, how does technology play a role in your everyday life?

The Dirty tShirt

My name is Jennifer Leet and I am the owner of the blog The Dirty tShirt. Through my blog I have been able to attain relationships with companies and brands that I use every day and I strive to work on each of those relationships so I can better my blog and my life. One of the perks of what I do is gaining knowledge of new products through testing and trying them out.

I have conducted numerous reviews of T-Mobile products, including the T-Mobile G1 with Google, T-Mobile Shadow, Samsung Memoir, Motorola ROKR E8 and Samsung Comeback, amongst others. However, my FAVORITE T-Mobile device would have to be Blackberry Curve 8900, as it is the phone that launched me into finding the perfect one for all that I do (feel free to read my review). You see, I am always in touch with my family, friends and all of my social media outlets through text, images and chat, and those are things you need a smartphone, so to speak, for.  In my life and with what I do it is crucial to have a dependable phone that does it all!

I am excited to be attending BlogHer 10' this year, my first big conference, and I would have to say that I am most looking forward to meeting new people, making friends and extending my reach both through my blog and through personal endeavors.

For those of you reading this post, I’ve proposed a question (see below), which you can answer by commenting in the discussion tab of T-Mobile’s Facebook page for a chance to win a Garminfone!  I will choose the winner based on how genuine and relatable I find their answer to be.

Looking forward to heading to New York City for BlogHer ’10 in just a few weeks! - Jennifer

QUESTION: How do you stay in touch with your loved ones?
