What did you think about the show this year? Did you like Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin as hosts? How about the Neil Patrick Harris opening number and the tribute to John Hughes? (I'm firmly on #teamNPH and #teamDuckie, myself.)

I cried when she won. Her achievement is almost like having the first female astronaut landing on Moon.

HUGE Congratzzz to Kathryn Bigelow for winning First Top Director on the eve of International Women's day... and for a 'tough' movie... ;-)

Yes, there are questions about inaccuracies etc... but isn't there always some controversy about the winning movie?   At least this time around, a woman WON!  ;-)

I have to give a thumbs up for this year's Oscar telecast.  It certainly worked well as a TV show.  Martin and Baldwin as hosts were charming and hilarious.  There was a major surprise with Avatar locked out of the big categories.  Most wonderfully of all, we got to see history being made, when Kathryn Bigelow became the first women to win a Best Director nod, with a kick-ass, edge of your seat war movie.  Add in the fact that there were plenty of weird dresses to snark over (hello Charlize T's decorative boobs), and it was pretty much the perfect telecast.  I always hope that there will be some bizarre live television moment, like the streaker from days of yore.  But with security being tighter than ever post 9-11, I'm afraid those kinds of moments are gone with the wind.

Kathryn Bigelow's win was incredible!

She obviously had the respect and command to navigate so many things and make this great accomplishment.

Congrats to her and women all over the globe!

I was jumping and screaming and fist-pumping the air for Kathryn Bigelow - and even though I secretly wished she'd call out her ex I was happy to see her humbled and classy.

But it still would've been nice to see her get up there and shout out "I'M THE QUEEN OF THE WORLD!!!!" or something along those lines.

Right?

I was happy with every choice this year. The show went well, I liked the winning choices. A good year for Oscar.
