7 Tips to Put Fitness and Fun into Every Day of the Week

• Customize your family’s activity calendar. Award stickers and stars to those who complete a full week of chores, activities and, of course, fitness!

• Host contests and games, such as hoola-hoop and jump rope contests, Twister marathons and potato sack races. Those who win get a “chore-free” day (or week!).

• Get your kids bouncing! During commercial breaks jump with your kids on mini trampolines. For added fun, let them personalize their own trampolines however they want!

• Pack healthy snacks and water and go for an adventure hike in the park or the backyard. Mix up the locations so every adventure is different and encourage your kids to pick up various items, such as leaves or rocks for craft projects at home.

• Target practice! Make water balloons or just take a ball and throw them at a designated target – outside the house of course!

• Encourage your kids to create their own music mix and have a dance party! • Pick out of a hat who gets to lead stretching exercises before bed.
