I've never felt sexier than while I was pregnant. Of all the times in my life, I was least self-conscious
about my body image during this time. There's something about growing a
human life which makes one feel a little more confident which makes
things like love handles, saggy boobs and a not-so-firm belly seem
quite insignificant.

After giving birth to my second son, my self-consciousness
has returned, bring with it saggier boobs and a stomach which will
probably never see the light of day again. Staying home covered in spit
up, poop, drool and cracker bits means fewer days of dressing up but
rather jogging pants and t-shirts becoming the staples in my wardrobe.
How is one to feel sexy when they rarely get the chance to shower
before noon let alone have time to shop for a new wardrobe to suit
their new post-second-baby size?

I don't know about you, buy many of my "newer" shirts have been
quickly gathered up from a $7 rack at big box store during an outing
for diapers.

That, my friends is NOT how a woman can get her sexy back. Trust me.

My maternity leave is quickly drawing to
a close and I'm more and more worried about what I am going to wear
when I have to return to the office. After nine months I am still
holding on to a couple pounds of baby weight, while the shape of my
body has changed once again leaving some of my pre-second-baby
clothes stored away in the closet. I am terrified by the prospect of
getting out there and trying to shop for new career clothes. Like many,
I get completely discouraged while trying on clothes which only end up
accentuating my muffin top; cut off circulation; won't do up because of
my oversized breastfeeding boobies.

To start my transition back to work, I've begun taking a little more care of things I used to indulge
in regularly - acrylic nails, getting my hair done, maybe a facial. But
they can only do so much people. My clothing is still big box store
sales items and comfy jogging pants!

My biggest fear is showing up at work appearing disheveled,
unkempt and unprofessional. The last thing I want in for my employer or
co-workers to think I've lost my shit and can't keep up simply because
I've struggled with getting myself back to "normal".
