One of my favorite things to make for parties or just for days I'm hanging out watching football games are dips. Dips are so versatile and it seems like almost everyone likes them. I mean, who doesn't enjoy dipping a crunchy chip into a deliciously creamy dip? I came up with this Loaded Baked Potato Dip to go with Kettle Brand Chips, which is one of my all time favorite brand of chips....more
Every year around this time, my mind starts spinning with endless ideas for holiday dishes. Even though my family is quite traditional when it comes to holiday eats, I try my best every year to incorporate a few new -- blog-ish, if you will -- dishes to our holiday meals....more
Even a "fresh and seasonal" locavore gal like me has to have a few weaknesses! Like Kettle Chips, for instance. I have always loved them, so when Blogher asked me to be a part of this series, and come up with a dip recipe, I was more than happy to oblige. I didn't even have to think very hard about what dip to make either, since I've been fooling around with different versions of this one over the past couple months. ...more
With the holiday season quickly approaching it is time to start thinking about party food which is why I am thrilled to be working with Kettle Chips to share my favorite holiday dip recipe today! ...more
As part of my November series: Easy Thanksgiving Recipes, I thought you might enjoy a couple of quick and easy appetizers you could serve your guests. When you put a lot of effort into the main dinner, it's pretty hard to muster up more energy to go all out on the appetizers too. Instead of just picking up something frozen, to defrost and serve, why not serve something you know everyone will love: chips and dip. ...more
I was recently asked by Kettle Chips to create an original recipe chip dip for their 14 different varieties of Kettle Chips. This task allowed me to indulge myself in the flavors that I love. As a new father, my wife and I don't get to go out as much as we used to. Our favorite date night was a trip to the steak house which included a nice wedge salad to start things off. The iceberg lettuce topped with tomatoes, blue cheese and bacon was a flavor that we haven't had in a long time. So I decided to turn our favorite indulgence into a chip dip that we can enjoy every day....more
Kettle Chips asked 14 bloggers to create a recipe of their favorite holiday dip. My favorite holiday dip is guacamole; I could eat it with a spoon. But too much guacamole can be overpowering on the taste buds, especially at parties when you lose track of how much chips and dip you’ve eaten. Sour cream, on the other hand, has that smooth and clean flavor that lets you dip and dip and dip. ...more

The Holidays will be approaching fast. No better time to have a brand new dip recipe ready to go, right? This dip is easy to whip up so you won't be late to the party! This takes apple pie to a whole new level. No waiting for dessert time to enjoy this one, it's great with potato chips. Yeah...who knew potato chips and apple pie would be such a great combination!...more
Potato chips are a dangerous thing to have around our house. Pastor Alaska and my oldest son devour them. I mean they pour the crumbs from the bottom of the bag into their gaping wide-open mouths and then lick the bag afterward kind of devouring. A bag of chips doesn't last long around here. And, if we're going to have potato chips around the house, Kettle Brand Chips are our fav. ...more
