The Associated Press reports millions of Chinese-made toys have been pulled from shelves in North America and Australia after scientists found they contain a chemical that converts into a powerful date rape drug when ingested. Two children in the U.S. and three in Australia were hospitalized after swallowing the beads.
MamaDivas writes, "It’s apparently one of the most popular toys of the season, but it’s also caused 2 kids from the US to slip into comas, and it’s caused other children to be hospitalized. It makes you wonder about kids who’ve been harmed by it, but whose parents did not realize that they had eaten Aqua Dots."
Homeschoolblogger says, "This one is particularly scary though because the tiny beads that it is made up of that are used to the make the creations are potentially fatal to your children."

CNN reports police say an 18-year-old authorities say shot eight people inside his high school in southern Finland, before turning the gun on himself, has died. The shooting appeared to have been planned out in graphic videos posted on YouTube.
