LACMA’s 2013 Art + Film Gala

Although the award season hasn’t officially started yet celebrities gathered at Los Angeles County Museum of Art to celebrate art and film. I love “smaller” red carpet events like this because they seem to bring out more interesting dresses that you would never see at the Oscars or Golden Globes. Evan Rachel Wood looked gorgeous in a black studded Gucci dress. It was her first red carpet even after welcoming her son in July. Zoe Saldana looked stunning in a Gucci dress that was showing just hint of skin. I loved the details and body-hugging silhouette.  New mom Fergie looked sleek in all black Versace gown. I wish she would have showed more skin because it was too Morticia Addams for me. Nicole Richie looked gorgeous in Dolce & Gabbana, loved her braid as well. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley looked stunning. The Fifty Shades star Dakota Johnson wore the Gucci dress we have seem on the cover of 2 September Issues (Sarah Jessica Parker on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar and Kate Upton on the cover of Elle) and I’m pretty sure I have seen it in a spread as well. This dress is gorgeous and and even with that much over exposure I still loved it. Drew Barrymore who is whispered to be pregnant with her second child went for a very colorful Vivienne Westwood dress paired with even more colorful Christian Louboutions. Not my favorite look and if she had changed her shoes it would have looked more appealing to me but in all honesty she somehow pulls this look off and makes it less awful. Camilla Belle looked beautiful in a grey Cartier gown. Amy Adams picked a bronze strapless Gucci dress that matched her hair. Kate Hudson stunned in a nude Gucci dress and showed off her killer abs! Completely jealous here! Kate Beckinsale and Salma Hayek, both gorgeous, went also with Gucci.
