The Language of Money

I want you to be proud of me, so I tell you the things I wanted to buy, but didn't. I know I spend way too much money on everyone else and we go without so many things. I know that is hard on you and one of the things you like least about me.
I am a bleeding heart and I want to save the world, even if I have to live in poverty. I didn't mean for you to have to join me. When I tell you the things I passed up, I'm trying to show you that I am trying to make things better.
To you, it seems like I am rubbing in all of the things I could do if I didn't have you.
No wonder our finances are such a mess. We speak a different language when it comes to money.
