SVP Business Development, Qualcomm
Laurie Yoler has been helping innovative technology companies grow for over twenty five years as an executive, advisor, investor and board member. She has served on the boards of public companies, private companies, and non-profit organizations.
She currently serves as SVP Business Development for Qualcomm. She was previously a founding Managing Director at GrowthPoint Technology Partners, helping entrepreneurs to build strategic alliances, complete M&A transactions and raise capital. Prior to that, Yoler was chief development officer at Intellectual Ventures, exploring invention and investment opportunities in a wide variety of technology areas ranging from software, semiconductors, electronic devices, consumer products, lasers, biotechnology and medical devices.
Yoler has been an integral part of the development and launch of many new innovations and products, both from within large companies like Visa, Sun Microsystems, and Accenture, and as one of a small group of founders/investors of a new entrepreneurial venture with a radical idea like Tesla Motors, DNA Direct, and Packet Design.
Yoler currently serves on the board of advisors of Tesla Motors, the board of directors of the Washington State University Research Foundation, and the advisory boards of Scripted, Curious, and Silicon Valley Comes to UK. She previously served on the board of directors of Tesla Motors since its founding, the public company Interactive Investor (until it was acquired by AMP), the advisory board of DNA Direct (acquired by Medco), and the technical advisory board of Index Ventures.
