Let the Festivus Airing of Grievances Begin!

December 23rd is Festivus, the Seinfeld-invented secular celebration that has become a pop culture institution in its own right.
The tenets of the "Festivus for the Rest of Us" are explained in this post in case you want some background info. A key practice is the "Airing of Grievances." Awkward way to pick fights with your beloveds, or the grandest fantasy of being able to speak your mind during the stressful holiday season? That's for each Festivus celebrant to decide.
The #festivus tag on Twitter is already heating up with grievances. Do you find tinsel distracting? Do you want a stress-free, non-commercial event this week? Do you respect the strength-to-weight ration of aluminum? Festivus might be for you.
I just love it that a television show started this thing and it's caught on in such a big, beautiful way. Pop culture names and defines us, no doubt. Seinfeld was best of the best, and Jerry Stiller, who played Frank Costanza on the show, is a genius.
Air away, disgruntled ones! Blow off so steam and get it all out of your system. The comment box is open and ready for your Festivus business.
