We're Bounce Dryer Bar Converts!

BlogHer and Bounce recently gave me the opportunity to test out the new Bounce Dryer Bar in our home. After a week of doing daily laundry loads with their dye- and fragrance-free bar in place, I've determined that installing and using the Dryer Bar really is as simple (and as awesome) as Bounce promises. What did this installation and use entail? I opened the box. I pulled out the Dryer Bar.  Read more

Bounce saved us from pet hair!

I love to hang my clothes outside to dry but here in Central Ohio that amounts to a couple short months of warm enough temperatures and sunshine to get that job done. That means the other eight and a half months I use my dryer. Which to me means lots of static electricity. My kids hate finding their socks pasted to the quilt Aunt Rosie crocheted a few years back! So when I was asked to try out the new Bounce Dryer Bar, I quickly agreed.  Read more

Laundry just got one step easier.

It's no secret that doing laundry is not high on my "Things I Love To Do" list. In fact, it happens to hold steady on my "Things That Feel Like Legalized Torture" list right in between cleaning toilets and painting. It's safe to say that the laundry and I are not BFF's. But, like anyone else, I have a family that prefers wearing clean clothes on a daily basis and my husband, for some odd reason, will not include buying new clothes and getting rid of the dirty ones into our monthly budget. Weird, huh?  Read more

Bouncing For Bounce Dryer Bar!

When I told my husband we were going to review the new Bounce Dryer Bar, he looked at me with one of those undecided type looks. For some families, it wouldn't matter what kind of look a husband gave to a wife about a laundry product, but in our house, we share the laundry load (pun intended). We pretty much split it 50/50, as we both have fluctuating (and increasingly crazy) schedules.  Read more

Bounce saves me time.

As a single, working mom of two active boys, it seems as my kids get older, I have less and less time. There is always something to do, or things to take care of. If not for your kids, then for your family, your health, or the house, or work, or friends. It can be quite challenging at times to find that balance to get everything done.  Read more

Laundry is Not My Forte

I can’t help but feel like my life is a mini struggle between finding convenience and responsibility. I do my best on a regular basis to make sure that as a family we incorporate safe and sustainable practices, but often times I know that it’s only reasonable that I make some compromises to get through the day without any break downs (on Avi’s part or mine;)). Let me start by saying that laundry is not my forte.  Read more

This is such a great idea!

Laundry is one of those chores that just has to be done, over and over.  You can get the entire household of dirty laundry cleaned one day, only to have basketfuls of laundry after everyone gets ready for bed at night.  It’s easy to throw clothes in the washing machine (thank goodness for washing machines and dryers, right?), and I don’t even mind folding them that much, but what helps me while folding laundry is how the clothes smell.  Read more

Enter to win $50 and a Bounce bar!

Laundry. The bane of many moms' existences. I'm kinda weird in that I don't really mind doing laundry. The sorting into piles, the loading and unloading; that's all good. It's always the folding that gets me. In some ways, the summers are the prime laundry season. We rarely, if ever, wear socks, so the whites pile is automatically cut in half. And we rarely wear jeans or pants, so that helps to cut down on my weekly load count, too.  Read more

The Bounce Dryer Bar is made for people like me!

With 3 kids in lots of different sports, we do a lot of laundry around here, sometimes several loads a day. More often than not, there's a load in the washer, a load in the dryer and several other loads waiting to take their place. As much as I'd like to be the person who has time to do laundry deliberately and carefully, painstakingly sorting clothes into subgroups ...  Read more

I now dislike laundry a lot less.

There are two things that I really dislike; one is winter and the other is laundry. Put the two of them together and you have one, grumpy mom... I once read a hint from Heloise that said to pin gloves together before you wash them. Yeah, like I have time for that!  Read more
