My Life Well Lived Moments happen when I feel happy, healthy and I feel like I have accomplished a lot in one day and am on top of all of my responsibilities!

We just had such a moment yesterday on a farm. Watching my toddler squeal while feeding chickens a piece of raw corn she had been enjoying and letting her get dirty while walking after the rooster, digging in dirt, and getting to know where her food comes from, that is a Life Well Lived Moment to me. It's what makes me feel like I'm doing the "Mama" thing right.

Its the simple things that make my life well lived- a run with my dad, spending the day with my family...a gorgeous blue sky...

My best moments are when my kids say "mommy you look pretty". I hardly ever get those moments I worry about my family I don't ever make time for myself.

When I can spend time with my family. My grandmother and the vast majority of my family are in Poland and Germany. My father lives near us finally after several years apart. My mother is living in South America. And my brother lives on the West Coast. So, I never take any time with family for granted.

My moment well lived is after having practiced a run in training for the race with my running group pals. We recently completed the Women's 4 Miler race in Charlottesville, VA. I started this running group no longer able to run, as I thought as a Mom, I had to give up to dedicate my life to motherhood and work. Somewhere, along the way, I lost "myself". I no longer gave myself those "me" moments.Now I feel that I accomplished something that makes me feel that I have developed internally, nurturing not only my body, but nourishing my soul. Making permanent lifestyle changes along the way, I have now, three months later, lost eighteen pounds and am aspiring for my first half marathon in the next six months. I now have something that is mine and mine alone. My attitude has changed and I am enjoying the journey along the way, one step after another. I am most appreciative of my Lake Monticello running group! They are one of the greatest groups of women that I have the opportunity to train with and transform into the mom and woman that I am meant to be!

My life well lived moment happened when my daughter told me that she valued my advise. She had a situation at school and I told her what I would do. She also got advise from a relative whose advise is not very good. She tried both of our approaches and was impressed that her dear old mom knew something. I did not have a close relationship with my mother and have worked to have a good one with my daughter. This touched me more than I can say.

I recently became an attorney, practicing family law, but that doesn't mean I have any money. In fact, I help mostly poor people who can't afford to pay me, or can only pay a fraction of what another attorney would charge. A life well lived moment is when I've helped someone get a guardianship or divorce or visitation with their kids when they otherwise couldn't have afforded an attorney.

A life well lived moment.....the struggles and loss we have been through in my family has made us appreciate and enjoy EVERY moment as a life well lived moment. We are not guaranteed our next breath so....we try to love and live as it's our last. I'm SO thankful for my husband, children and all of our family and friends!

Life Well Lived ... every day: walking to the bus stop in the cool darkness with my son. playing verbal tennis with his sister as she and I wait for her bus. kissing my Husband's head as he works at the dining room table as I'm going to bed. watching the cats sleep. reading in the sunshine.

A Life Well Lived Moment to me is a moment of emotional connection- like when I burst out laughing at my son's very unexpected, poignant comment about how sees the world; or when I cry with a friend experiencing struggle, or when my husband pulls me into a hug, or when I'm overwhelmed with a feeling of contentment just by looking around at the faces of my family at the dinner table.

A Life Well Lived moment for me was the other day as I made dinner, with my baby in her exersaucer right by me, laughing and playing. Just a moment to remember how lucky I am!

A life well lived is about living in the moment and being cognizant that every moment is precious. My dh and I had a conversation recently, when watching a documentary about New Wave movement of the 80's. We reminisced about the music, the concerts, the clothes and the hairstyles we wore. He said that he wasn't aware at the time how special that period of life was. We realized that the antidote is to live each moment in the present.

A "Life Well Lived" moment for me is when I catch my kids are getting along beautifully, playing together and having fun, and they don't realize I'm watching. It makes me so happy to see them enjoy each other's company--especially since they fight (as siblings do) just as often as they get along.

What are well lived moments...do they even exist? For me, these moments are when I can either help somebody out without them expecting it or when I publicly defend something I believe in. When performing either one of these acts, I feel an overwhelming amount of excitement and blissful excitement that I can help others by my words and actions. This is my well lived moment to see a joyful face or an enlightened mind and know that I helped to accomplish that lovely result.

At 72 and my spouse 82, every moment we have shared together has been well lived and well loved. We are looking forward to sharing each and every moment from now until moments run out.

It's those awesome moments I share with my family; me, the kids and my hubby all well-fed after a great day, just hanging out and laughing together. Knowing no matter what troubles we all face, we're here for each other always.

It's having a clean house, a happy husband, and my beautiful twin daughters laughing and giggling and so happy. That is Life well lived.

My life well lived moment is coming home from a horrible day at work, completely exhausted, and walking in the front door to be greeted every night with a hug and kiss from my husband and a hug from my 13 month old son. It makes me realize what's important and that I work to provide a better life for my son, no matter how hard it may be, the hugs and cuddles make up for it completely and my stress just melts away.

A well lived moment for me is when I am completely happy in the moment and satisfied all is well. That could be with family, on a mountaintop by myself, or on a special occasion, just when ever I am living in the moment and feel happy and grateful for all I have.

A life well lived moment for me is linked to familly. I'm at a point in my motherhood where I get to see some of the results of my investment into their lives. Each of my children have made good choices and think outside of themelves. It blesses my heart to see them loving others and caring about things outside of their own little world. Young people have many obastacles to overcome, having a strong family influence is very important. I love talking with my kids and spending time with them. Just knowing their dad and I have played an important role in the people they have become....reminds me of the great life I've lived.

My "life well lived" moments come from seeing hopes and dreams become reality. When my kids laugh and talk together, when my clients see success in their fitness journey's, or when I see my passions realized in my own daily journey. When I am fully present and can bask in the joy of these times, I am truly living life to it's fullest.

To me, a "life well lived moment" MUST include love and the realization that all life stems from one energy source and that sharing your love with others is sharing in that energy. To be truly in the now and not have the past or future bogging you down mentally and spiritually; to be at one with your mistakes and faults as well as loving yourself despite them; to admit your talents freely and accept compliments without hesitation; all of these things lead you to many many well lived moments. Without examples like these, we are not truly alive..not really living..merely existing!

For me a "life well lived" moment is when you are fully committed to what is happening in any given moment. Whether it is laughing with your kids or talking with your husband. I like to be in the moment and not thinking about other things I should be doing. The most important thing is to cherish the time you have and embrace the little things that make your life your own.

Life well lived for me is choosing to do what I love most and trusting my instincts. I bought a 100 yr old farm house where I teach music lessons and also have an art studio. I do this full time and although sometimes I am uncertain about my financial situation the rewards of teaching and inspiring my students and their families is so worth it.

For me a life well lived means that I feel together enough to roll with the punches as the day progresses. By getting up and taking the time to care for myself means that I feel more confident and ready. Today would be a good example, it's Sunday and a day to be home but that does not mean not taking a bit of time to do my hair, pay attention to my face and pretty up a bit... feeling good about myself means that when I can down to find the pantry taken over by a million little ants I laughed and got to pulling everything out to see what drew them inside. So much better than how it could have gone otherwise!

I woke up the day after Hurricane Irene swept through my coastal NC town and surveyed the damages. I was trying to mentally prepare for the huge clean-up task ahead of us when my 9 year old son woke up and came to the door and stood beside me. After staring wide eyed at the mess for a few minutes, my son says to me "What time are we going out to see who all needs help cleaning up?" I was so proud of him for thinking of others first, as I should have been doing, and so we spent that whole day helping others in our neighborhood clear up the debris. My Life Well Lived Moments are when I realize that even with all my flaws, I'm doing a pretty good job as a mom.

I sat glaring at the orange and indigo sunrise through the airplane window. The sight did not ease my grumpiness over missing the after-conference breakfast due to my early flight. Suddenly the focus of my self pity was interrupted by an uncaring statement of a flight attendant behind me. "There's nothing we can do."

I peered between the seats.A four year old boy gazed at me through tears of pain as his little hands clutched his ears, his face contorted in pain. I asked the attendant to bring 2 empty plastic cups for the Mother to hold over his ears. A minute or two passed. I looked between the seats again. He gave me a big smile and a thumbs up. The pressure had been relieved. His mother expressed her gratitude. I thanked God that in My Life Well Lived Moment my knowledge and experience was able to assist a child in his moment of need.

My life well lived moments come when all of my responsibilities have been met, and I can sit down and read a book, go for a run, or sit on the back porch and sip a glass of wine with my husband and dogs!

Life well lived moments are different every day. A successful presentation that brings in new business for the agency. Curling up on the couch with my three boys and a movie. Sneaking away for a lunch date with my husband. Getting up early and going out for a long walk by myself before the craziness of the day. Moving and bending and adapting to life and all its special moments big and small is life well lived.

My Life Well Lived moment comes when I am able to slip outside in the cool of the morning or in the early evening and go for a run. I feel the most connected to my body, to the earth, and to life when I am running.

For me,My Life Well Lived moment is when I got done on my work and relaxing on the couch, My daughter will come to me and embrace me and tell me "I'm the best Mom in the whole world,I love you ,Mom"!!!

For me, the most "life well lived" moments are those when I feel like I know EXACTLY what I'm supposed to be doing, am doing it, and am surrounded by other intelligent, confident women, making a difference!

My life well lived moment is when I come home from work and cook dinner for my husband. The look on his face when arriving home to dinner, a clean home, and his wife; that is the best moment of my entire day!

My Life Well Lived Moments are when I take the children to the beach. Sitting by the water, it feels as though every wave washes away all my worries and concerns. It is in that moment that I can see how great a life my children and I share. We return home renewed and refreshed.

Life Well Lived Moments for me are those times when I have nowhere to go and nothing to do except enjoy my family. Whether it's a weekday evening when I've gotten a jog in after work, the baby is fed and ready for bed, the kitchen is cleaned up, and we're all ready to enjoy some easy play time; or a weekend day when the chores are done, there is nowhere we have to go, and the weather is prime for being out in the yard. These quiet, happy times in our little family are what I cherish most. Nothing fancy, nothing big, just us.
