How can I be happy in 2012? After reviewing all the tips I could possibly offer for that grand question, I offer only one straightforward solution:

Every year, the holidays stress me out no matter how much I try to have a good time. Family, friends, coworkers, and kids drive me over the edge. How can I stay happy this holiday season?

Even though it's not easy, take the higher road. Choose to be happy, and stay focused on that goal.

You may be able to feel it in the air right now. Preparations, planning, perfection, and parents are all contributing factors to what one may call stress.

Q: I feel like I am surrounded by negativity all the time. How can I stay positive and help out the people who are stuck in a downward spiral?

A: Choose to respond in a positive way. Showing kindness and expressing love can go a long way to changing someone's bad day -- and yours in return!

One of the most common questions regarding how to be happy, regardless of life’s challenges, is the question of how to deal with negative people.

On a daily basis we encounter others who are suffering, having a bad day, or are at the height of their disappointment or stress. We witness and participate in road rage, work-related stress, circumstantial disappointment, and the list goes on and on.

How can we maintain our own positivity and help these people in our lives without succumbing to the negative experience they are having?
