The Limit of Your Creativity Meme
by debra roby

From Grumperina.  The Limit of your Creativity meme started as a blogpost on Bella Knitting, where Laura admitted:

I was struck this morning by the very defined limits of my own creativity.

In a moment of pure inspiration, Laura then lists more creative activities than I had ever considered, and ranked each one under:
1.    I have no interest; complete lack of creativity in this area.
2.    Would like to try it.
3.    I do or have dabbled in it.

4.    Love it! This is my thing!!

Grumperina tightened up the proposal with her: Love it; Like it, or absolutely no way!

Who has played along so far?

Knerq,

Karen B.,

Entering the Kingdom,

Snuffykins,

and In A Moment Of Weakness Bella Knitting's other author, Sarah, joined in on the fun.

In the interest of openness, I'm playing too. And I invite you to post your meme answers on your blog, then leave a link here in the comments.

LOVE IT:
fabric dyeing, improvisational screen printing, batik, photography, shibori, writing, singing.

Like It:
knitting, sewing, quilting (piecing, applique, quilting all by hand or machine), crochet, beading, jewelry making, baking, cooking, gardening.

Dabbled but didn't stick:
cross-stitch, needlepoint, paper making,  house designing (no, not decorating; designing floor plans), doll making , crewel (which is appropriately named, but misspelled), candlewicking, stencilling, watercolor, amurami, altered books, faux painting.

Would like to try:
bobbin lace, drawing, graphic design, story telling, collage (would like to understand it better).

No Way!  No How!
Stamping, entertaining, flower arranging, macrame, film making, acting, candle making, soap making, scrapbooking, cartooning, spinning, tatting, rug making, calligraphy, oil painting, dollmaking, cartooning, gift wrapping, inventing, locker-looping.

Hmm. Maybe that would help

Hmm. Maybe that would help me streamline my crafts. I already limit myself to a few things, but a list like that might make me feel less guilty about doing it. "Oh, self, that's something that you tried but didn't take, how about doing something you love?"

Hmm. Thanks for posting this. I'm always looking for ways to reframe situations and improve my thinking processes. :-)
