Stay hydrated and fed so there's no low blood sugar headaches! :-)

A great haircut will help make me feel good through the conference with little keep up!

I'm always running around the night before a trip to make sure I remember to bring everything on my packing list. While I can get toothpaste and like at the hotel or in town, I can't easily replace business cards and other "me specifics".

So I create a pre-trip "packing pile" that has lots of biz cards, flight confirmation, jewelry and more.

Make Up is also a KEY essential because I'd never want to be without my favs.

Excited at the chance to win this make over and spa gift.

My Misikko Hana Elite Flat Iron is a MUST HAVE. My hair can get wild and crazy, especially in humidity like NYC can bring. The flat iron smooths and perfects my hair in a way no other can.

I don't know a lot about hair and makeup, sad but true, kind of lost interest or sight of "me" while raising a family of 7. BUT, one thing I can always remember my grandmother telling me about taking care of myself was of course sleep, which you have mentioned, but also, hydration, hydration, hydration. Especially when traveling, in order to feel and look good - keep up with the water - it does a body good (and you thought that just pertained to Milk) ;) AND hydration for your skin, water works from the inside, and a light moisturizer on the outside.

I need my teeth to be clean in order to feel my best. Crest is the only toothpaste I'll use!

Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated, and keep your skin fresh.

Wear Oil of Olay Night recovery cream to bed each night, and you'll look refreshed in the morning.

During the day wear CoverGirl Simply Ageless Sculpting Blush. This blush mosturizes your skin, while it adds color.

Pack some Olay Regenerist Anti-Aging
Eye Roller, just in case you have been up late, and have puffy eyes, this roll-on cream helps decrease swelling so you look fresh.

Take some ME time during the conference to have a soothing bath or shower in the hotel with your favorite bath gel or try Olay Body Wash Plus Tone Enriching Ribbons (CEW Award winner.) Give your tired body a treat.

Pack a candle from the Drugstore (lavender or other calming scent) to have some relaxation at your fingertips in your hotel room.

Finally getting to see the friends with whom I've been planning this trip since last year will be so exciting that I could be tempted to overdo it (w/r/t EVERYTHING, LOL) so I just keep reminding myself that overdoing it could actually *ruin* the fun.
MY three most important tips may not help anyone else, but they're key for me: I know I have to get at least 6 hours of sleep every night in order to enjoy myself (and not keep others from enjoying themselves!); I know I have to get some exercise every day; and I know that 2 drinks are PLENTY and I should switch to water after that.

I use Outlast Lipstain instead of regular lipstick. It seriously lasts me all day long. I don't even have to check it after eating or drinking. No more constantly pulling out my lipgloss.

I've gone to a bunch of different sources for BlogHer10 advice - I think knowing what to expect is key in feeling comfortable. Judging on what I've learned, I think I'll be most comfortable if I: 1) don't wear anything brand-new that I haven't tested for comfy-factor, 2) don't wear high heals, and 3) wear some super cute accessories!

I am a firm believer in relaxing when you can. Remember to take care of yourself. Drink lots of water, take breaks, eat well and have fun!

One of my best tips for looking and feeling my best is to drink lots and lots of water. It's amazing how not doing so really impacts how I feel - and how I look!

And for looking? I love getting manicures a few weeks out once a week so my hands look great. They're such a focus when you're out and about!

Pick a few easy outfits that flatter you and feel comfortable and make sure they're not prone to wrinkling--either in your suitcase or on you as you sit through the sessions!

I'll also pack lipstick, mascara and anti-frizz cream for my hair. Hotel conference areas are like airports--dry and cold!

I'll be sporting my most comfy shoes and a few new tops. Being in comfortable clothing always makes me feel great. And, with such long days it's important to feel at ease.

Lots of water and a tube of Burt Bee's Chapstick will keep me going all day.

I plan on looking great by first feeling great and running the blogher 5k to kick off the conference. I've heard drinking a lot of water also helps!

Whenever possible? Get off your feet. Conversations can just as easily be had from a chair, a bench, your bed, or even (when it's a last resort) from down on the floor.

There's a lot of ground to cover - so getting to a session early and getting a good chair helps!

My tip is to not overschedule yourself. When planning what you are going to do at the conference, give yourself time to sit and relax.

I will be the one carrying a full water bottle and gluten free granola bars.
There is nothing worse for a gluten free person than being starving with no safe food in sight.
If you are gluten free too, just ask for a GF granola bar, I love to share.

Having been to 4 BlogHer conferences already, I can tell you that sleep and water are two of the most important things to look and feel your best at BlogHer! Without either, you'll wilt quickly!

Water is so important to your body, and it is so easy to forget to drink. Try setting an alarm on your phone to remind you to drink a glass of water.

NateandJakesMom 5 pts

My tip for looking my best is to be sure that I wear clothing that makes me feel good but that still is "me." While the majority of the people at BlogHer won't know me and thus wouldn't know what I would normally wear - I am sure that they will know if I look uncomfortable, regardless of how fabulous the outfit.

Well, whenever I travel, I make sure I have a few staples. Here are some I think will be important to keep in your purse for looking great and feeling your best at Blogher:

1) bring water,
2) wear flat shoes
3) bring a hair band
4) bring a small mirror
5) bring blush
6) bring tissues
7) bring hand sanitizer
8) bring a sweater (hotel conference areas can get cold)
9) bring some healthy snacks
10) bring some breath freshener.

That's what I plan to bring in a small purse each day. I need my hands free for that swag! ;-)

If you see me at Blogher, please make sure you stop me and say Hello!!!!

Best,

I think for me to feel really great is to get adequate rest. I am so excited to sleep in a hotel bed without a little person kicking me all night! I think I will feel great after a good night's rest. Also eating a nice breakfast with fruit and yogurt will be a great way to start my days. As for looking my best, I will certainly get a mani-pedi and touch up my grey before then!

scrappinmichele 5 pts

I know that sounds odd, but when I'm at conferences I often am so busy that I don't eat and then when I finally do eat, I eat everything I can and mostly the wrong foods. I've started packing a few snacks that I can keep in my bag so that doesn't happen.

I also drink a lot of water. I carry a water bottle with me all the time while at conferences.

Breath mints are another one that make me feel great since I do a lot of talking.

But most important, just live in the moment and enjoy it.

I keep reading on the Blogher twitter feed so many bloggers who are stressing out over how they look and whether they will have lost enough weight before the conference or have the right clothes to wear, or should they change hairstyles, and so on and so forth.
While I am certainly one who believes in trying to look your best, I also think the most important thing to remember is to BE YOURSELF. I want to meet other bloggers who are genuine and real, not someone pretending to be the person they think I want to meet. And by the same token, I want others to see me for me, and not some fake version of myself.

I do love to get dressed up and get my hair cut and get a manicure for conferences, because they do help me feel my best, but if I hide in the corner and never talk to anyone or if I act like someone I'm not, then those things really won't matter anyway. Confidence is the key to looking and feeling your best and is more important than anything you wear or how your makeup is done or how your hair is styled.

Finally, want to know one of the very best ways to look and feel your best? SMILE!
Everyone looks better with a smile on!!!

Sleep? Pfft. I'm running the 5K on Friday morning, because exercising makes me feel a) more social, b) more at east with myself, and c) AWESOME.

Drink water. Travel and conferences can feel like they run on coffee and booze, so making sure you remember water in between can be important.

Number 1: Wear comfortable shoes! You'll be on your feet and wandering around all day and half the night. BlogHer isn't the place for your adorable but too tight/too high/too something designer finds.

Number 2: Is there a piece of clothing or an accessory that always makes you feel like a million bucks? Wear it! If it violates Rule #1, break 'em out for one of the parties!

I love to primp as much as the next gal, but given how many questionnable ingredients there are in most make-up and personal care products, this is definitely a case of less being better than more. The non-profit research organization Environmental Working Group did a study on how much stuff we put on our skin every day, and it was over 15 different products. I've tried to cut that waaaayyy down for myself. At the very least, I've tried to avoid lotions, gels and sprays that contain parabens (a preservative linked to breast cancer) and phthalates (considered a reproductive toxin in many countries and the state of California).

Wear what makes you comfortable--that's the easiest way to look and feel great. Get a haircut before the conference--easy to manage hair that looks good! Bring a refreshing scent for shampoo/body wash to help wake you up in the morning :)

Make up primer is a must for the long days/nights. As is gel insoles for your shoes! Hand sanitizers are a travelers friend. I also like a body wash with cucumber to help refresh.

Drink lots of water, dont forget to eat, and pace yourself so you dont burn out.
