Looking For a (last minute) Easter Activity for Your Young Kiddos?

Last year, I remember the difficulty in trying to explain Easter to a group of preschoolers and this year with my son, I've struggled with how to bring it to his level.  The concept of Jesus dying (let alone any death) as well as the Acsension can be some BIG bites of theology for a little mind.

We started this bite-sized simple version of Resurrection Eggs and it was fabulous.  Basically, you use 6 eggs to explain the events surrounding the Cross.  I highly recommend this activity for the preschool age.

I wanted to take it a step further.  Being that we love our felt creations around here, I pulled out the ole felt board and felt scraps and began a simple reenactment starting with Jesus in the Garden through the Ascension, based on Luke 22-24 & MArk 14-16.

Here's a recap of what we did.  See my original post for more details and to download the FREE PRINTABLES!
