Mad Men fans

I am a big fan of the Mad Men series on AMC channel 55 on cable.

First of all I saw the new Mad Men inspired Barbie dolls line and it is fabulous.....

One thing I don't really understand about this show is how most of the secretaries in their office are all ready to trot and will have sex with just about anyone.  What is up with that????  What about womens liberation, burning bras, and the suffragate movement????  Weren't any of these issues happening in the 60s??? I believe they were very relavent at the time.  To illustrate my point in last weeks' episode Don Draper (the main character) has been kicked out of the house and getting divorced so he is living in a small apt by himself.  He comes home from a bar very drunk and cannot find his apt keys.  He calls a secretary from his office and she comes running over with his spare house key.  He barely knows this girl from the large steno pool there.  Then with very little effort on his part next thing you know he is screwing her on his couch..  Then she gets up and leaves without a word spoken.  It seems like the main character has sex with every women he meets even though he is married with 3 kids...

I never imagined that single young women were so loose wth their morals back then.  Maybe I lived in a bubble or something, but I am very surprised about this behaviour of the females in this show...

What do you think?????
