Senator Maria E. Cantwell (D-WA)
This Washington State Democrat was easily re-elected to her third term in the Senate with a platform that focused on jobs and the economy. Cantwell is a political veteran; she was elected to her state legislature at age 28 and moved up to the House of Representatives in 1992 before becoming a senator in 2001.
