Make Sweetened Condensed Milk At Home & Save!
By Jennifer Ranger on April 01, 2014
Making sweetened condensed milk at home is really easy, and it tastes every bit as scrumptious as store bought! And oh, did I mention that making it at home it costs only pennies?
How many times have you realized at the last minute that you're missing one vital ingredient for your baking project? Sweetened condensed milk may not be high on your weekly shopping list, so it's easy to get caught short when a recipe calls for it. The great news is (fanfare please), that you can easily make it with your blender in just a matter of minutes!
Doing more baking during the week? Make a double batch, seal it tightly and keep it in your fridge for up to one week.
Homemade Sweetened Condensed Milk
1 Cup instant nonfat dry milk
1 Cup sugar
1/2 Cup boiling water
2 Ounces butter
Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend on high for one minute. It's that easy!
