With the beginning of the year upon us and everyone making resolutions, goals and changes, I thought it would be a good time to remind you about some upcoming events on the BlogHer Events calendar. In fact, since so many New Year’s Resolutions revolve around food (more, less, healthier, yummier), why not combine your travel goals with your food goals and come to BlogHer Food ‘12 in Seattle?
Speaking of June, I'm going to my first writer's conference: BlogHer Food in Seattle! I'm hoping that Harry will be able to go with me but it truly depends on his work schedule. If he does get some comp time by then, he would much rather spend it catching Walleye on the French River - well, so would I - but I need to take this opportunity to learn.
And what an opportunity it is -- to learn, to meet new people, to explore new places, to eat good food. How many New Year's resolutions does BlogHer Food even cover? We've got travel, expanding your horizons, learning something new, pursuing a passion, meeting new people, food, food and more food. Quite honestly, it sounds like everyone should be coming!
We’re seeing an uptick of people tweeting about getting their tickets and encouraging others to come as well. If you like food and blogging, it might be a great idea to join us in June. You can register now for BlogHer Food ‘12, book your hotel room at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel and then hit our BlogHer Food Community Forum to find a roommate or tweet/meet some others who are going. And then, once you have all that done, don’t forget to add some bling to your blog so everyone knows you’re going!
Are you getting excited yet? Is attending BlogHer Food one of your goals this year? Tell us about it!
(And, a gentle reminder: Early Bird pricing for BlogHer ‘12 in New York City this August ends on February 28th!)
